The City of David’s Nighttime Presentation tells the story of our return to rebuild ancient Jerusalem. A thrilling, outdoor cinematic experience projected onto the ancient ruins in the actual site where this story unfolded. Under the stars of Jerusalem’s night sky, cutting-edge video mapping technology, the first of its kind in Israel, reveals a story 2,500 years in the making.
More than 2,500 years ago, Jerusalem was destroyed and the Babylonian Exile began.
Seventy years later and against all odds, Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah, with the support of Persia, then the world’s greatest empire, embarks on a dangerous journey to rebuild ancient Jerusalem.

Accessibility
The show takes place within ancient ruins and includes many steps and uneven flooring. Unfortunately, due to the limitation of the archeological site, it is not wheelchair accessible.

The show is approximately 1 1/4 hours long. The Nighttime Experience in the City of David is comprised of two 2 unique presentations:
A show projected against the backdrop of the Old City walls* (in the Givati Parking Lot Excavation)
A show projected on the ancient ruins of the City of David (Area G)**

There are three shows evrey night.

Under the night sky of Jerusalem, the audience will sit amidst the stunning backdrop of the City of David, the Old City, the Mount of Olives, Mount Zion, and the King's Valley.

Even in the summer, evenings in Jerusalem can be cool. Please wear warm clothing.
